A man was left with a head injury after a man attacked him with a metal pipe in Singapore, according to police.
The attack happened outside the Sunshine Cafe on December 19.
Police said they were investigating the attack as a possible hate crime.
According to police, the man was waiting for his friend at the cafe and saw a man on the sidewalk with a pipe in his hand.
As the man approached the man, the pipe became lodged in his shoulder and the man pulled it out, according the police report.
It is believed the pipe was left on the street for an hour before being found by a passerby.
Singaporean authorities have asked the public to be vigilant.
A public transport service has cancelled services in the city.
