KFC has announced it will open its first new cafe at a popular Texas restaurant.
The chain, known for its breakfast sandwiches, announced Tuesday that it will serve its first KFC in Austin, which opened in 2016 in the old Dallas-Fort Worth airport complex.
The cafe is a nod to the chain’s long-running relationship with KFC founder Mike & Ken and his family.
The restaurant is a third-floor cafe with an outdoor seating area and a bar.
The Austin KFC is part of KFC Holdings, which owns KFC restaurants and has also built its own KFC franchises.
KFC announced Tuesday it was buying KFC for $11.6 billion, making it the most valuable franchise in U.S. history.
