“Black walnuts, black wafers and black coffee.”
Those are just some of the menu items that will be available in a new Black Walnut Cafe in Tel Aviv.
The cafe, set to open in July 2019, will serve up a wide variety of food and drinks, according to a press release from the restaurant chain.
“We will be serving up some of Israel’s most popular dishes from the Arab world and the Mediterranean, as well as the Middle East,” the release said.
The restaurant will be located on a five-story building in a shopping mall in the heart of Tel Aviv’s Har Homa neighborhood.
It is slated to open its doors on July 10.
“The opening of this cafe is a significant step in our journey to redefine our menu to offer something new, something different and something delicious,” said Hana Khedem, CEO of Black Walnuts and a former manager of the restaurant.
“We want to create a space that reflects our community and to represent the diversity of the Israeli menu.”
The Black Walmonds will be the first Israeli cafe to open since Black Walcott was founded in 2013, which closed in 2017.
The new Black Cafe will offer both Israeli and international cuisine and will offer a full bar and a private dining area for customers.
It will also serve as a showcase for Tel Aviv restaurants, Khedeman said.
