Lighthouse cafe closes, diner closes after fatal crash

WASHINGTON (AP) The owner of a restaurant in Washington’s capital is closing, as a diner owner has closed and two people have been arrested after a fatal crash.

The owners of a bar and a diner in the city’s center were arrested on Thursday on charges of driving while impaired, the Washington State Patrol said.

It’s unclear what charges will be filed against the owners.

The incident happened at the lighthouse cafe in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill, where a woman and two men were waiting for the ferry home after a birthday party, according to the police report.

The police report said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police report did not say whether the cafe or diner were involved in the crash.
